Sumner Attendance Center will be conducting their annual school lockdown drill on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 10:00am. This is a state mandated drill required yearly for Illinois school districts. The drill will be conducted in a non-threatening manner, with an age appropriate approach in each classroom.
This drill will not mimic an actual incident, rather will simply be a simple lockdown drill to practice safety protocols. This is a time for teachers and students alike to review safety protocols.
Lockdowns may be instituted in a variety of situations for the safety of our students and staff that do not necessarily involve an active threat at the school. These drills are beneficial for our students, faculty, and staff to go through safety protocols in the event of an emergency situation.
Officer Trainer will be present during this drill.
