On March 27, 2026, staff members from Sumner Attendance Center came together in a show of support and community spirit by hosting a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at Griffin’s Pizza House to benefit colleague Valerie Weidner, who is currently battling cancer.
A total of 13 staff members volunteered their time to organize and work the event, serving 174 spaghetti dinners along with a wide variety of desserts to community members throughout the evening. Through these efforts, the fundraiser generated more than $1,820 to support Mrs. Weidner.
The Sumner Attendance Center staff extends its sincere appreciation to Griffin’s Pizza House for partnering in this effort, as well as to the community for its generous support and participation.
