It's Teacher Appreciation Week! Mrs. Moan is a Family and Consumer Science teacher at Red Hill High School. The classes Mrs. Moan offers consist of Child Development, Foods & Nutrition, Living Environments, Adult Living, and Orientation to Home Economics. Mrs Moan has been teaching for 19 years. Mrs. Moan was inspired by Mrs. King. Mrs. King was the FACS teacher and taught a high school class that taught Pre-K, which Mrs. Moan's daughters attended. Mrs. Moan still thinks very highly of Mrs. King and is thankful for the impact she has had on her life.
Mrs. Moans favorite part of her day is watching students apply the concepts that she has taught them. Mrs. Moan makes learning fun and engaging for her students by all of the hands-on activities she does in her classroom. A big part of Mrs. Moan’s job is preparing them for their future after high school and a rewarding part of Mrs. Moan’s job is being able to guide them through their next step. Mrs. Moan assists students the best she can to prepare them for their future and help them find a career path. Mrs. Moan tries to connect with her students by showing that she cares and wants the best for them.
When Mrs. Moan isn’t teaching; she enjoys gardening, landscaping, and spending time with her grandsons. Mrs. Moan’s favorite hobby is being a “Nene” to Tuff, Tatum, and Pierce. Mrs. Moan loves spending time with her family and watching her grandsons grow.
Mrs. Moan is an amazing Family and Consumer Science teacher and a blessing that she is a part of the RHHS staff. Happy teacher appreciation week!

As a project in Ms. Tussey's business classes, the students have worked tirelessly to put together an insightful and heartwarming series of Teacher Spotlights. They have interviewed their teachers, designed images, and developed the content you will see throughout the week. Each day you will see new posts that will highlight the teachers, administrators, and staff of Red Hill Jr/Sr High School. These spotlights are a testament to the dedication and hard work put forth by our teachers and staff, who have tirelessly worked to support the growth and development of our students.
