Her approachable and engaging teaching style, infused with humor, makes learning enjoyable and productive for her students, even when the subject is serious. Despite the challenges of teaching junior high school students, such as competing with other activities and study hall, Mrs. Hasewinkle has had several success stories, including students who made it to honors band and honors choir. She also utilizes online teacher groups for resources and assistance with simple issues. During her free time, Mrs. Hasewinkle enjoys outdoor activities like gardening, reading, and traveling. Her enthusiasm for the outdoors is reflected in her teaching approach, inspiring her students to appreciate the beauty and significance of music. As Teacher Appreciation Week draws to a close, we want to express our utmost appreciation for Mrs. Hasewinkle, our extraordinary Band and Choir teacher. Mrs. Hasewinkle, your passion for music and dedication to nurturing the talents of our students have brought harmony and joy into our school community. Through your unwavering commitment and exceptional guidance, you have inspired countless students to discover the beauty of music and explore their creative potential. Thank you, Mrs. Hasewinkle, for your unwavering commitment to music education and for cultivating a love for music in the hearts of our students. Your impact is immeasurable, and we are immensely grateful for your dedication and passion! .............................................................................................................. As a project in Ms. Tussey's business classes, the students have worked tirelessly to put together an insightful and heartwarming series of Teacher Spotlights. They have interviewed their teachers, designed images, and developed the content you will see throughout the week. Each day you will see new posts that will highlight the teachers, administrators, and staff of Red Hill Jr/Sr High School. These spotlights are a testament to the dedication and hard work put forth by our teachers and staff, who have tirelessly worked to support the growth and development of our students. It's Teacher Appreciation Week! Mr. Lyles is a highly experienced and dedicated driver's education teacher who brings over 32 years of expertise to our school. His courses cater to students ranging from 8th to 12th grade, providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to become responsible drivers. In addition to his role as a teacher, Mr. Lyles also serves as a football coach and contributes to the track and field program. When I asked Mr. Lyles about his motivation to become a teacher, he shared that his grandfather, who was once a school principal, inspired him to pursue a career in education. This familial connection to the field fuels his passion for teaching and mentoring young minds. Mr. Lyles excels in keeping his students engaged and interested in the subject matter. He believes in actively showing interest in their thoughts and actions, fostering a supportive and interactive learning environment that encourages student participation. One of the challenges Mr. Lyles frequently encounters is helping students overcome difficulties they may face while driving within the limited time they have for practice. To address this, Mr. Lyles gives students time outside of school hours to practice driving, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and support. Despite these challenges, Mr. Lyles remains committed to providing his students with a comprehensive driver's education experience. Outside of the classroom, Mr. Lyles enjoys various hobbies, including golf, chess, pickleball, and football. These interests contribute to his well-rounded perspective and further enhance his ability to connect with students on multiple levels. A particularly memorable moment for Mr. Lyles was when his track team won the conference championship. This accomplishment not only showcased the dedication and hard work of the athletes but also served as a testament to Mr. Lyles' coaching skills and his ability to inspire his team to achieve great success. His vast experience, genuine passion for teaching, and dedication to his students make him an outstanding educator and mentor. Through his guidance and expertise, he equips our students with the essential skills and knowledge needed for a lifetime of safe driving. We are fortunate to have Mr. Lyles as a valued member of our faculty! ..............................................................................................................
